Data Protection Law

We provide legal consultancy and training to our clients in the protection of personal data in order to ensure that our Clients who are operating in different sectors, conduct all business in compliance with the Code on the Protection of Personal Data numbered 6698 and all data privacy legislation. In this respect, we examine and analyze our clients’ operational processes and we provide advice and develop strategies that are tailor-made for the specific client and need, with the aim of minimizing any risks that are likely to be encountered.

We also closely monitor and assess current decisions of the Personal Data Protection Authority and provide legal opinions as regards the Authority’s approach in light of their most recent decisions. In addition to the Turkish Code on the Protection of Personal Data, we also advise clients that have affiliates in European Union member states on the differences between the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) which is in effect in the European Union and the personal data protection legislation in force in Turkey.

Within the scope of personal data protection legislation, we offer our the following services:

Providing consultancy on legal, administrative and technical compliance with the Code on the Protection of Personal Data.

   • Ensuring the compliance of data controllers with the respective legislation.

  • Determining deficiencies in the performance of data protection duties, and providing actions aimed at eliminating such deficiencie.

  • Forming data protection policies, data inventories, data flow charts, clarification texts, data processing, and destruction procedures for our clients.

  • Preparing and presenting training to our Clients and their employees on the subject and raising awareness related to Personal Data Protection Law.

  • Providing regular consultation on data privacy and relevant legislation.
