In accordance with the Code on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698 ("DATA PROTECTION CODE") any information that makes your identity specific or identifiable constitutes your “personal data.” Moreover, the DATA PROTECTION CODE defines “sensitive personal data” as any data related to race; ethnic origin; political opinion; philosophical belief; religion, sect, or other beliefs; attire; membership in associations, foundations, or trade unions; health; sexual life; and criminal convictions and security measures, as well as biometric and genetic data.
NSN Law Firm (“NSN”) provides this Informing Text on the Processing of Candidate Personal Data (“Informing Text”) to explain our practices for processing your personal data as a data controller and explain your rights in accordance with the DATA PROTECTION CODE. We would like to inform you that this document is subject to modification as required in accordance with current legislation and data processing processes.
1. Your Personal Data Subject to Processing
Within the scope of the following data categories, your personal data will be processed by NSN in accordance with the DATA PROTECTION CODE:
- Identity Data, such as your name, surname, Republic of Turkey ID number, date of birth, driver's license, gender, and nationality;
- Contact Information Data, such as your phone number, address, and e-mail address;
- Professional Experience Data, such as your previous work experience and workplace, internship/course/seminar, and job title;
- Educational Background Data, such as your knowledge of foreign languages, degrees and diplomas, and computer skills;
- Audio-Visual Recording Data, such as your photograph,
In addition, NSN will process the following sensitive personal data transmitted by you in accordance with Article 6 of the DATA PROTECTION CODE:
- Health Information Data, such as your personal health information, blood type, and disability status;
- Body Information Data, such as your height and weight;
- Philosophical Belief, Religion, Sect, and Other Beliefs Information Data, Such as your creed and other personal beliefs;
- Association, Foundation or Union Membership Data, such as associations, foundations, or unions of which you are a member.
2. The Purpose of Processing Your Personal Data
Your above-mentioned personal data subject to processing will be processed for the purposes of:
- Planning recruitment activities in human resources processes, and
- Interviewing, selecting, and placing employee and trainee candidates.
3. Collection Methods and Legal Grounds for the Processing of Your Personal Data
Your personal data will be collected and processed physically or through the website and processed electronically in accordance with the personal data processing conditions specified in Articles 5 and 6 of the DATA PROTECTION CODE and within the framework of the legal reasons and legitimate interests of the data controller, NSN, upon the execution of the contract and with your express consent.
4. Transfer of Your Personal Data
In accordance with DATA PROTECTION CODE and for the purposes mentioned below, we may transfer your personal data, which is subject to processing, to our third-party suppliers for the purpose of providing database server services.
Any access to your personal data by third-party suppliers shall be limited to those individuals who require access to this data in order to fulfil their job responsibilities.
We also point out that NSN may be required to disclose your personal data to official authorities, courts, enforcement offices, external consultants, and similar third-parties as required or permitted by applicable law.
5. Retention Period of Your Personal Data
According to Article 7/1 of the DATA PROTECTION CODE, your personal data will be processed for the purposes specified in this Informing Text and will be deleted, destroyed, or anonymized in accordance with the relevant legislation when the said purposes expire and/or when requested by you.
6. Your Rights Regarding the Protection of Your Personal Data
In accordance with the DATA PROTECTION CODE, you may exercise the following rights by request to the data controller, NSN:
- Learning whether your personal data has been processed or not;
- If your personal data has been processed, requesting information about it;
- Learning the purpose for processing your personal data, and whether it is being processed in accordance with the purpose;
- Knowing the third parties to whom your personal data has been transferred, at home or abroad;
- Requesting the correction of your personal data if it is incomplete or incorrectly processed;
- Requesting the deletion or destruction of your personal data within the framework of the conditions stipulated in Article 7 of the DATA PROTECTION CODE;
- Requesting notification of any transactions made pursuant to clauses (d) and (e) of Article 11 of the DATA PROTECTION CODE to the third parties to whom your personal data has been transferred;
- Objecting to the emergence of a detrimental effect by analysing your processed personal data exclusively through automated systems; and
- Requesting compensation for your damages in the event that you incur losses due to unlawful processing of your personal data.

If you have any questions about this Informing Text and your rights, please contact the Data Controller, NSN, in accordance with the "Communique on the Procedures and Principles for Requests to the Data Controller." NSN will finalize your request as soon as possible and within thirty days at the latest, depending on the nature of your request.
