The "Draft Guideline on Packaging Information and Readability of Foods for Special Medical Purposes" and "New Health Claim Application Guideline" are opened for discussion by Turkish Medicines and Medical Devices Agency.
In the draft guideline regulating the packaging and readability; various issues are considered including the name of the product, the names and quantities of the components, the rules regarding the energy and nutritional elements table, the storage conditions, information about the license holder and readability.
In the draft guideline concerning the health claims, the rules to be followed while applying for a new health claim are specified and sample application form is included to the draft.
