The Ministry of Internal Affairs issued a circular on 27.04.2021 with new Covid-19 measures and a full closure decision that will last from April 29, 2021, 19:00 to May 17, 2021, 05:00. Within the scope of the aforementioned Circular, product promotion representatives and license / permit holders made notifications to the Turkish Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency (“the Authority”) regarding whether the product promotion representatives are exempt from the curfew and how they should carry out their activities during the full closure period. In this context, the Authority published a declaration on the activities of product promotion representatives on 27.04.2021.
As per the Announcement, the Authority decided that, within the scope of the Circular in question, product promotion representatives were not included among those exempted by the statement "The workplaces carrying out activities related to the production, transportation and sale of medicines, medical devices, medical masks and disinfectants and those working there". Accordingly, it was stated by the Authority that product promotion representatives can carry out their promotional activities electronically (e-mail, video conference) between the dates specified in the Circular.
